A Mountain Hike, Two Tribute Bands & Gregory Porter

August 14–16, 2026  •  McDonough • Stockbridge • Hampton • Locust Grove & Beyond

HENRY COUNTY — Southern Roots is carrying this weekend almost single-handedly. Friday night it's Four Dozen Roses tearing through 90s country, Saturday it's Hard 2 Handle doing the full Black Crowes experience. In between, Panola Mountain State Park opens up restricted terrain for a guided Saturday morning hike, Sweet Auburn BBQ turns its lot into a truck and car show, and Downtown Stockbridge keeps its Friday night Tiny Tent series going. Sunday's the one to build your weekend around — Grammy winner Gregory Porter headlines the Stockbridge Amphitheater with Kindred the Family Soul opening, gates at 5, music at 7. Here's everything worth knowing.
